An Overview of BlueCruise
The available BlueCruise technology is a form of adaptive cruise control with added features and quirks to help you keep your peace of mind on the road. BlueCruise helps with braking, acceleration, and steering, providing an easy way to rest and relax while on the go.
Please remain aware that drivers must remain attentive while using BlueCruise. With a driver-facing camera, BlueCruise can track head position and eye gaze to help you keep your eyes on the road. Never take naps, close your eyes, or take your attention completely off the road.
Driver-Assist Technologies with BlueCruise
Several factors and technologies mix to create and support BlueCruise. The following features and technologies ensure your ride remains smooth:
Lane Change Assist: With Lane Change Assist, you can use your turn signal to switch to the desired lane. Once you use the signal, your vehicle will perform the lane change when the coast is clear. Lane Change Assist can even suggest lane changes in slower lanes.
Adaptive Cruise Control: Adaptive Cruise Control is the foundation of BlueCruise, helping speed up, slow down, and set desired distances from vehicles ahead of you.
In-Lane Repositioning: In-Lane Repositioning is a tool that subtly moves away from adjacent vehicles to give you more wiggle room in case you need it. Every inch matters on the road.
Automatic Lane Change: Similar to the Lane Change Assist, the Automatic Lane Change system will automatically change lanes when the path is clear. There is no need to touch the turn signal.
Hands-Free Blue Zones: To make BlueCruise the most effective it can be, use it in hands-free Blue Zones. These zones are prequalified sections of divided highways that make up over 130,000 miles of American roads. These roads are the ideal places to use BlueCruise

How Driver-Assist Technologies Help During Commutes & Highway Driving
BlueCruise may have several moving parts that make up its core, but its purpose is simple: make your daily driving easy and convenient. BlueCruise is not a self-driving technology, but one that assists you, giving you the chance to rest before a big meeting and ease the stress of continuous commuting. With BlueCruise, you can make long road trips a breeze, take a moment to breathe in traffic, and let yourself enjoy the ride.
Remember, drivers must remain present and focused on the road. BlueCruise does not act without you, it acts with you.
